Xaranna

For our last camp, Xaranna, we went back into the Okavango Delta.

Nikon D850, 270mm (150-600mm f/5.0-6.3), 1/1000 sec f / 5.6, ISO 9000

On our first day, we had the pleasure to see three leopard cubs. They were hiding on a tree waiting for their mother to come back. She would leave them alone for 1 to 4 days at a time to go hunting.

On the second day, we missed a lion kill by probably only a few minutes. Those two brothers had a feast.

Nikon D850, 185mm (150-600mm f/5.0-6.3), 1/1000 sec f / 5.0, ISO 220

On the third day, we experienced a rare sighting of a leopard hunting a porcupine. The hunt was not successful leaving the porcupine injured and the leopard with a few spines in its paws and face.

Nikon D850, 165mm (150-600mm f/5.0-6.3), 1/1000 sec f / 5.0, ISO 2200

On our very last drive, we went by a hyena den. Very happy with this last adventure before the long flight back home.
